Cardio metabolic study - IDIs with specialists in Poland

The purpose of the research was to discuss the approach to treating patients with Type 2 diabetes and dyslipidaemia (specifically, those with high triglycerides and/or low HDL). The Client also required a commercial and perceptual understanding of the potential for the fenofibrates in light of the publication of the clinical trial results. Consequently, recently published clinical trial data were reviewed to obtain physicians’ reactions and any effect this might have on their prescribing. In order to gather the required information we conducted 40 IDIs with specialists: Non-Interventionist Cardiologists, Diabetologists, Endocrinologists, GPs/PCPs. Prior to interviews all respondents were asked to complete Patient Record Forms.
