Client's need

Company operating on the medical devices and medical disposables markets requested Research PMR for a project that would help identify expected products’ development direction the company should consider for future R&D activities.


Our deliverables

Research PMR has executed a qualitative research based project inviting to it medical personnel working with investigated disposable equipment on daily basis. During several sessions, we have aggregated knowledge regarding daily routine and circumstances where these products were used and regarding respondents so far experience with our client’s products. We have executed focus groups for several European markets within this project to understand all the strong and weak points of analyzed products in national and international contexts. During these sessions, our panelists have been assisted by professional draftsmen to visualize their ideas for improvements and new solutions for key functionalities in investigated medical disposables.
One of key challenges of this project has been focus groups participants’ recruitment as one of the requirement for respondents has been international experience. However due to our proprietary PMR Medical Panel we have been able to successfully approach target relevant audience.

Value for the client

As a result of executed creative sessions, our client has got to know most important needs and expectations of medical personnel with regards to investigated medical disposables as well as strong and weak points of those products. On top of that, client was provided with a set of drafts visualizing proposed modifications and innovations to currently existing solutions. This will be helpful both during product development works and communication planning to client’s target groups, to make it effective.
